Sonstige Bemerkungen: Gerne wieder 🙂

Turquino – This coffee bears the name of Cuba’s highest mountain: Pico Turquino, this “turquoise peak” stands in the Sierra Maestra and measures 1974m above sea level.
Turquino and Turquino extra are among the best coffees in Cuba – and they don’t disappoint. Before I could taste a cup of Turquino on the trip to Pinar del Río, I had the opportunity to taste a coffee bean of Turquino in Havana (on top of a a piece of chocolate – ahhh … a heavenly taste: good, handmade chocolate paired with a fine coffee bean XD )
… and in a Paladar near Pinar del Río in Viñales I got the opportunity to taste the actual coffee:
Smell: Sweet, caramel
Mouthfeeling: Sweet, fluid
Taste: Light, slightly fruity, roasted aroma, fruity-nutty like chestnut or like short-roasted hazelnut.
Finish: slightly sharp in the finish, gentle scraping in the throat like acid fruit juices
Other remarks: Would try it again with pleasure anytime 🙂
